[3]Raptors[98] vs. [6]Nets[96] SERIES:NETS, 3-2

With T.J. Ford unable to play, and Toronto on the brink of elimination, backup PG, Jose Calderon scored a career high 25, and rolled his ankle in the last second of the home win for the Raps. Despite the continuous hazing from the home crowd, former Raptor Vince Carter scored a game high 30, and teammate Jason Kidd posted 11 points and 10 assists. At one point in the fourth quarter, the Raptors were up by 14 points and it looked as if Toronto would take the game in double digit fashion. Then, in a span of 6:13, sliced the lead to one with only 27 seconds left. After a slum of Toronto free throws, it was a two point contest. Raptors fans everywhere held their breath as their teams first playoff reign since 2002 looked like it would come to a close as Bostjan Nachbar rose up for a possible game winning jumper in the waning seconds. As the shot clanked of the iron, the Air Canada Center erupted, realizing the series had been forced to a game six in New Jersey.

[1]Mavericks[118] vs. [8]Warriors[112] SERIES:Warriors, 3-2

The best, most talented team in the league seemed doomed to elimination late in the fourth quarter of game 5 Tuesday night.  That was until Dirk Nowitzki-highly criticized in the past week for his lack of MVP like performances in the clutch-scored 30 points including 12 in the fourth quarter.  Once again, Golden State’s Stephen Jackson was ejected, after scoring 23, and grabbing 4 boards.  Monta Ellis seemed to not even show up for a second straight game; he’s scored a combined 4 points in games 4 and 5.
