A Look Into The World Of Sports

A Whole Bunch Of Sports News And Updates

Here are some recent questions answered.

Barry Bonds is on fire and is crawling closer to Hank Aaron’s record. Do you care?”

No because in 5-10 years A-Rod will break his record and nobody will care that Bonds broke it first. Bonds will be a thing of the past since he won’t keep hold of the record for more than a decade. I see him reaching around 770 HRs and A-Rod hitting 780-800 HRs.

How big was the Warriors’ upset over the Mavericks?

I think it was huge since only three times has a 8 seed upset a 1 seed, in 1994 and 1999, i’m not sure which teams though for some reason, i know one was Denver. But, anyways Dirk looked horrible this series. I kept thinking-This guy is a leading candidate for NBA MVP? He was outscored in Game 6 by Maurice Ager, a player that doesn’t get much playing time. This is probally going to be the first and last time that a 67 win team goes down in 6 games in the first round. There performance the whole series was horrible. I did the math and the average margin of victory for GS was 17.25 points. 17.25 points! How does a 67 win team lose 4 games to a team that barely made the playoffs by 17.25 points on average? I have no clue.

Will the Pats be able to control Randy Moss?

I think they will because they probally already told him-Either you get along with us and stay out of trouble, or you’re gonna sit on the bench. I think he’ll want to stay out of trouble knowing know that he’s on a team that almost goes to the Super Bowl every year, or at least goes to the Conference Championship.

Do you think Chien-Ming Wang was OK when he threw 7 1/3 of perfect game ball?

Ok how about pretty good. I know they were playing the Mariners, a team with not much hitting talent after Ichiro, but this is guy who just came off the DL. I think it was a pretty good performance in which he proved that he’s ready to be the ace of there staff, even though he doesn’t have much competition.

Who will emerge from each conference in the NBA?

In the West i think the Suns will beat San Antonio in 6 or 7 games, then probally sweep there opponet, or at least beat then in 5 or 6 games. In the East i think the Cavs will emerge, not only because they’re my team, but because we can beat Chicago anyday and we almost sent Detroit packing last year in Game 7, and this year they don’t have Ben Wallace.

What is your reaction to the death of Josh Hancock?

My first reaction was-Who? I had never heard of this guy untill he died. I heard that he was an okay to good pitcher i guess and that he was a good bullpen guy for the Cards. After i found out who he was, then i thought-Not again. It just seems that all the time that athletes get into trouble and end up getting hurt. Then when i found out he was drunk i knew it was just another athlete ruining his own life. I just don’t get why athletes who are living there dreams while we’re still working our butts off for a 25 cent raise, and they’re out there ruining themselves. I don’t know if that made any sense to you but, it makes sense to me.

Who do have in the superfight – Mayweather or De La Hoya?

I don’t watch any type of fighting so i really don’t know anything about either of them. All i know is that Mayweather is 37-0 in his career and De La Hoya is 38-4. Also i know that De La Hoya is the defending champion. I guess i’ll have to go with De La Hoya since Mayweather has to lose sooner or later. Like i said-i know nothing about any type of fighting. UpdateMayweather won in a split decision so my prediction was wrong.

Some Sports News

Yankees Finally Sign Clemens

5-6-07, remember the date. This is the day the Yankees actually tried to fix there team by finally signing Roger Clemens. It took them over a month, but Roger is finally a Yankee, again. Do i think that this will make the Yankees a 100 win team just like that? No. New York fans-Clemens isn’t going to get you 100 wins, he might get you 15 if you’re lucky. Now with Wang coming back, the Yanks will finally have an ace, second and third starter. I’m not sure if this is how there rotation will go, but here is there rotation-

-Wang
-Clemens
-Pettite
-Mussina
-Igawa

If i controlled the Yankees, that’s how i’d have them in my rotation. Now, it’s prediction time. I think Clemens will go 15-9 with a 2.5-3.0 ERA. He won’t win the Cy Young, but he’ll have a solid season. My prediction for the Yankees is 90 wins and maybe the Wild Card team. Now, all we do is wait untill Clemens makes his first start, and then we’ll know if this is a good move or not.

Dirk Nowitzki And The Mavs are Overrated

Yes, that’s right, they’re overrated. O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D, overrated. Dirk Nowitzki, the so called ‘MVP, was outscored in Game 6, 10-8, by some guy named Maurice Ager. Who? I don’t see how a guy who scores 8 points in a crutial Game 6 is the MVP. Oh yeah, here’s a little imformation on this Maurice Ager guy-

Height 6-5
Weight 202
Born on 2-9-84 in Detroit Michigan
Went to Michigan State
1st Round(28th overall) Draft Pick by Dallas in 2006
Playoff Stats- 1 Game, 10 pts, 3-4 fg, 2-2 3-pt, 2-2 ft
Regular Season Stats- 32 Games, 2.2 pts, 0.7 reb, 31.4 fg%, 33.3 3-pt%, 60.6 ft%

Dirk Nowitzki was outscored by this guy? Now that’s sad. Now to the Mavs, one of the most overhyped teams ever. They went 67-15 in the Regular season, GS went 42-40. How did they lose to GS in 6 Games? I still don’t get it. How did the ‘best’ team in the NBA get knocked out of the Playoffs in Round 1? I guess we’ll never know.
