Series Breakdown

With the series almost over, since the Cavs have a 2-0 lead and will probally sweep New Jersey, i thought i would give a breakdown of the series so far. Here are the individual and team stats for the first 2 games-

Playoff Stat Comparisons

New Jersey Nets Cleveland Cavaliers

Individual

24.6 V. Carter Scoring L. James 28.0
10.0 J. Kidd Rebounds D. Gooden 11.3
12.0 J. Kidd Assists L. James 8.2
1.9 J. Kidd Steals L. Hughes 1.8
0.8 V. Carter Blocks Z. Ilgauskas 1.0

Team

39.1 Rebounds 49.3
23.8 Assists 19.8
6.4 Steals 6.5
93.3 Points For 97.3
91.0 Points Against 89.2

So, right now the Cavs are leading the Nets in every statistical category but individual assists and steals, and team assists. But onec again, a lot of sports analysts have lost there minds. All of them are pretty much saying NJ will win the series in 7, even though they have never came back in a series and won when they were down 2-0. But, today i finally found somebody who agrees with me-Steve Kerr. Here’s his breakdown of the series so far-

Steve Kerr On Yahoo.com wrote:

Nets vs. Cavaliers Kerr’s Take

Backcourt Jason Kidd is a walking triple-double Edge-NJ

Frontcourt LeBron gives Richard Jefferson all kinds of trouble Edge-Cle

Bench Nachbar has been good, but Varejao brings lots of energy Edge-Cle

Coaching Lawrence Frank showed how good he is against Toronto Edge-NJ
